| Children and/or equipment can be used to demonstrate bar modelling in maths. For low numbers this could be the children themselves or bean bags/cones inside hoops/chalk lines. For larger numbers this could be with children holding different A4 place value cards. | You will need equipment for different parts of the bar model (e.g. hoops, chalk). You may need cones/bean bags/place value cards. Better in a large space but could be done with a small group in the classroom. |
